On March 31st 2015 the official unveiling event of the memorial dedicated to the Greek-Russian Friendship took place, on which the flag of Saint Andrew with the flag of the Greek Fleet are drawn along with an inscription saying: “God and The Flag of Saint Andrew is with us”, in Geek and Russian. In both sides of the memorial, olive trees surrounding an aisle to pay homage to the fallen troops were planted by the officials and the honored guests.
